I’ve heard so many stories, both in online discourse and in consults with potential clients, of expecting families being burned by their previous doula experiences — and most of these stories have one thing in common… unmet expectations. Here are some questions that I, an experienced birth doula, would ask if I was interviewing a doula for my birth to make sure I knew exactly what type of support I was getting with each doula I interviewed, so I could pick the best fit for my needs.
